HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The health department in Mayuge Town council is made up of the health inspector and health assistant.

The department handles community and health center concerns of hygiene and sanitation. Garbage management and latrine coverage have been the main areas of concern in the community well as immunization at the health center. Garbage management

Mayuge HC III and other private owned clinics in the council, provide good opportunities to vulnerable groups to access health services, pregnant mothers, youth, people with disability can access health services and information on HIV/AIDS, safe sex etc. given that women are the primary caretakers at home, they are the ones who normally go to these facilities to get treatment for their children and family at large.

§  Ensure that complete, reliable, timely, efficient and effective health management information for health care is provided and shared among all stakeholders in the sector.

The sector recommends that the government provides more garbage skips for batter garbage management
